RE: And ... And can you explain the blow up doll dressed as a schoolgirl in the next room wondering what's going on? BFC Hokey Cokey: You put the Shuker in - the Shuker out, Nards in, Shukes out & spurt it all about, You do the Yorkey Corkey & you bang a ginge, Right in the firey ***** ...
"The estates revert BACK to the state"? What state do you think there was in place before we had a land-owning monarchy? If you're going to take that line then you have to question the whole principle of ownership and you're going to have to go back to the "middle ages."
I feel ill. I'd like to mince Paris Hilton & make her into a Texan Southern American Mexican Chilli. With some kidney beans & a nice chianti. The Novotel at Cardiff should be ashamed at how poor their porn is. Hi kids.
He he he. Ssshhhh. You can't be telling people that I've used a digital projector to put an 8ft square porno onto my hotel room wall. Keep bloody quiet.
Ok, just for you, I'll try to dumb it down a bit. I don't imagine anyone else had a problem understanding it. You said, "Get rid of the crown and all the Crown Estates revert back to the state." The point that you're having trouble with is that you can't hand the estates BACK to the state because not only were they never their property in the first place but were formed well before the state ever existed. And I repeat that if you're going to question the principles of land ownership then you'd have to look into the history of almost every scrap of land in the UK and yes, you would have to go back to the middle ages and further. Things might seem a little less "absurd" if you try a bit harder to understand them.
History Lesson! The Crown Estates only exist because William I (The Conqueror, The Barsteward or whatever) said they were his. Thats's all, he didn't buy them, negotiate, just killed a few people and took them. So what's to stop the current state from saying they are ours now? No challenge to anything there. http://www.thecrownestate.co.uk/02_about_us/03_our_history.htm
RE: Can we go back to an Absolute Monarchy ? Ay, and while we are at it lets get the true rightfull king back from Australia, Lord John Pendragon from Queensland, bin the German.
Keep digging. So what about this "state" of yours that owned them previously? Are you side-stepping that one now? How do you think any land came to be owned in the first place? Once more for luck - if you're going to challenge the monarchy's right to land ownership then you'll have to challenge everyone's. Are you suggesting the state steals land from all wealthy land-owners? Here's a history lesson for you my ill-informed friend. It's been done. It didn't work.
RE: Given this is a World Cup year, "62p would buy you a ticket for one minute of England's game against Portugal on Saturday," No it wouldn't - you can't buy tickets for 1 minute of a football game! Maybe if they'd put it was 1/90th of the price of a ticket that would be correct.
Fair enough, get rid of the crown But Mrs Regina and family will still own everything they have today.
