I don’t buy that, I can’t believe any pro signed for Barnsley can’t put a long cross into an approximate place within the penalty area. In fact I’ve not played for 30 odd years and I reckon I could do it given a weeks practice. But we have only one player who can consistently place a perfect shot from the edge of the area and that’s Woodrow. But ATEOTD it doesn’t matter who’s taking them, because there’s clearly no plan beyond put all the lads in the box and Woodrow will kick the ball into it. Last year we had some plans, everyone knew them and it paid off.
Have you seen some of the free-kicks put in by Styles and Brittain recently? Even in the last game? So, so poor. I know you said the two Callum's can take them in another thread, but the evidence suggests they can't. I think Cauley lives off the legacy of the League One season sometimes in terms of his finishing being consistent. His accuracy was phenomenal before we got promoted, but he's missed chances regularly at Championship level. He's definitely the best we have, but he doesn't consistently place a perfect shot every time. He snatches, misses, pulls, etc. Agree with the last two paragraphs though. Spot on.
Apparently players did it their way after 3rd goal on Sunday not schopp way according to Devante in Chronicle . So I bet he doesn't play again for a while. Mr schopp will not like that
