May I just say it has been great to read a grown up discussion which has not resorted to insults from some reyt gay bumdogs !</p>
RE: Sorry a Royal... And Prince Charles wanting to change the 'Protector of The Faith' to 'Protector of Faiths'</p> That old right wing firebrand.</p> </p>
Who actually owns 'their' property though? does the queen and her family own buckingham palace or do we?
we as in the country And as I suspected the royal family don't own buckingham palace. So quite why kicking them out of it and opening it up as a proper tourist attraction would be such a bad thing is beyond me. Windy says we can't kick them out of THEIR property which is fine, they can still keep their own properties. Gatcombe Park - The Princess Royal Sandringham House - The Queen (inherited) Balmoral Castle - The Queen (inherited) Craigowan Lodge Balmoral - The Queen (inherited) Delnadamph Lodge Balmoral - The Queen (inherited) Highgrove - The Waleses Birkhall House Balmoral - The Rothesays Llwynywormwood Myddfai - The Waleses Tamarisk - The Cornwalls wouldn't exactly leave them homeless would it.
Oh I don't know, the former palace, The tower of london doesn't look too shabby gets quite a few visitors too
Perhaps so... but only commenting on previous episodes. Are Charles' views typical of the rest of the family?
RE: Perhaps so... No more so than Prince Phillips. Depends if you're that prejudiced towards them or not.
RE: What do you mean re Prince Phillip? nt That he may have different views on certain matters to those of Prince Charles.
RE: The French Aristocracy is dead With naked French women on it, yes, this is what draws me to the France. But, we could replace the monarchy with naked French women and the toursits would flock to our shores too.
Right... Yes, he certainly does. Not prejudiced against them, just don't want a Royal Family anymore as I do not believe having a supreme family who by the chance of birth are deemed "worthy" is the best thing for a cohesive and fair society. You are right to question what replaces them. Do we have to have a figure head to cling to?
RE: The French Aristocracy is dead This is true. Considering the munt-fest one finds at British coastal towns an influx of willowy stylish French women would be a godsend.
