In my opinion this squad has never been anywhere near good enough. And it's a squad assembled by Davey!
thing is tho Jay he signed all the new players. If the squad isnt up to it then it falls at the feet of davey. He took too many punts on untried players - the classic being mostto. he was obviously learning on the job. every week he was trying something different but not learning from that. I am sure the worm will turn soon once robins get his ideas and players into the squad.
RE: Luke warm backing? Not to mention getting rid of the reserves and bringing in this "development" squad - two brilliant decisions The man has been backed to the fecking hilt - I'm sick of people saying he hasn't
My 2ps worth the squad assembled are capable of finishing further up the table, even though its unbalanced (no left back ffs!), but Davey didnt do himself any favours by changing formations constantly and playing players out of position.
I was talking in terms of what was publically said which was a death sentence If you are going to back your manager you have to say you are doing it in complete faith in his ability. Not a wishy washy he must convince me he's the right man sense. In not doing that he should have been sacked. if Cryne didn't feel he was the right man he should have gone in may. And your points are correct and expose the folly of the decision to sack him when we did. Give him money and let him make strategic decisions and then sack him 5 games in. (Although I think long term the development squad could be a successful decision - it has worked well at other clubs such as Wolves and allows teams to have a leaner and in theory better squad)
