Yep someone posted they thought he wa our best forward.. as if we actully had one. He just looked like he'd not kicked a ball for 3 months to me.. A hell of a lot of people are pinning their hopes on Morris shooting us up the league. His record before he came here was woeful. He was another the Val brought the best out of. We'll just have to see which Carlton we get back..
No they would get nowhere near. I wouldn’t expect Cole to get more than 20 goals given similar game time. Iseka 30 would be a good return. Can Woodrow if he recaptures form and confidence of course.
we already know that Frieser, Vic, Cole and odour won’t. Given the scoring and injury records of Obbi and Morris who are these goal scorers you talk about?
Woodrow: 560 minutes per goal (840 minutes per goal not including penalties) Frieser: 435 minutes per goal Cole: 346 minutes per goal Vic: 287 minutes per goal Based on this season we've got so many better options than him
In their careers? Indicating that they are an option to come in and score goals. Ok. Let’s have a bet if you believe they are viable options. I bet you a tenner neither scores 10-15 goals this season
So we start players now down to what they've done in the dim and distant, do we? Well, in that case maybe we should bring back Hammill... And yeah, they'll not score many goals while we've got someone else clogging up that position, preventing them from playing a full game.
Now do their career stats. over 100 games and had Vic got into double figures yet? Answer yes or no. Over 50 games for us and has Frieser scored more than 19 goals for us again yes or no. Cole at championship or above how many goals has he scored - Answer 1. To be clear penalties count as goals happy to clear that up for you. Those Are not realistic either long or short term options.
so you won’t put your money where your mouth is? Surely the new Head coach who we presume know more about football will play your goalscoring geniuses it they are are viable options. Take the bet show done confidence in your options. Proceeds to charity.
The thing is though we aren't playing in the past. We're playing in the present and presently he is a lot poorer than the rest. On a completely unrelated note, the roundabout at tankersley. Do you happen to know why the entry from the business park is the only one that's not controlled by traffic lights? Just something I've wondered since it was done really.
Ok, you obviously have a serious hard on for Woodrow. I'm not making a bet on players scoring when they don't get a fair crack at it, that's mental.
To be fair it's a skill to be really good at them but at the same time being a clubs penalty taker does put you at a significant advantage on the goalscoring charts
sorry if you think that Woodrow is worse than a Cole, Vic or Frieser you genuinely know nothing about football. You can put forward arguments about Iseka and Morris that could be valid but those two are miles behind Woodrow. Not sure about Tankersley but can probably find out as I’ve got some meetings on next leg out towards Mottram next week.
But why won’t they get a fair crack If they are viable options? Surely a professional coach will see your options as good ones if you are right. Why not have confidence in that. The reason is they are not realistic options. As of now I wouldn’t have Woodrow in the team. I’d play 2 up front Morris and Iseka but would be working with Woodrow to see if I could get him back on form.
Overall maybe. But Vic has scored 2 in his last 3 games. So can make a case for selecting him ahead of Woodrow, alongside Morris and Iseka currently. Maybe a short spell out of the side might do him good
