Do we really need a Woodrow thread after every game nowadays? It’s beginning to become scapegoat territory and kinda boring.

I thought he played well today. Didn’t have a chance to score but his link up play was good and brought others into the game.

Probably not but as a striker and apparent fox-in-the-box you're going to be judged on how many goals you score. He's scored 3 this season, 1 from open play. And he was ineffective for the latter half of last season too. It's not good enough.

I agree. His goal return isn’t good enough for someone of his class. Not sure why his penalty and free kick constantly gets disregarded though. Can’t think of many in our squad who could’ve scored that free kick, maybe Styles?

But to have a thread about him after every game (which this was until admin merged) is getting over the top in my opinion.

Listened to his post match interview, seemed right proud to have played 150 games for Barnsley and to be captain. Basically said those fans that are calling him know sweet fa about football. No problems with his contribution today as far as I'm concerned.

Don’t really understand the criticism of him today, was popping up on both sides of the pitch being available and helping us keep the ball in and around their box - played OK, and had a couple bounce off him perhaps - just like the rest of them.

Can't fault his work rate and application. Poor bloke just needs a goal.

Barnsley have a better squad having Cauley Woodrow in it, he is our highest profile player.
If we drive him out of the club with abuse it is a sad state.
Sorry i forgot he is a footballer gets loads of money and we pay our sesson tickets we can say what we want.

well we can but luckily Cauley says he's only bothered about what those who know about football think. He knows how fickle fans can be and if he starts scoring again Oakwell will no doubt be resounding with his song again!

    He was OK today.

I never doubt his effort. But he is so slow that when he gets involved in breakaways you expect that the pace is going to be taken out of our attack. Not always.

But if the attack does carry on and the ball goes across the 6 yard box he is not going to be there to put it in.

I thought today was probably the best he has played this season. Signs that he may be starting to get a bit of an understanding with Morris Still lacking a bit of confidence to gamble in the area but he was definitely looking better today. Maybe our new HC can give him his mojo back

It's my thread from last month and as I didn't get to see the game today I was asking how he did.

    Crime?

So did you just reply to your own thread or start a new one that admin merged? I'm slightly confused here

I know it is but my reply was to someone who started another thread before admin merged it to this one. I did put that in another response later.

    Damn admins!

    Nope.

I was replying to T!ke (check previous post to mine) who had started a new thread before admin merged.
