Like this post. What's wrong with a little sportsmanship and appreciation. Often they acknowledge us as well. Its not like they have run over your cat is it
Why start a thread and then not put any further comments on, clapping the opposition goalie has been done for years, at least the 40 yr ive been watching,
Anyone remember Steve Death who played for Reading - he got some stick As for clapping away keepers - no - we've done it for years - other clubs do it as well
It may be because it's inaudible from another stand, but I don't remember seeing any other club do it in the last few years and I've been to a hell of a lot of grounds in that time. It's not something I participate in because I find it all a bit odd, but if it's something that we do different to other clubs then why not.
I have never known any other supporters clap our keeper when travelling away . Imo it's Fukin stupid so please stop haha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
at the risk of a ban.. I have to say this is one of the best announcements by a poster to show just what a total idiot they really are.
Re: at the risk of a ban.. I have to say I'll keep doing it. When Deasy at Altricham failed to respond I simply spent the next 90 mins singing about him
It's not just about showing some respect to the opposition goalie. It's about showing some respect to yourself, it's about showing that we have some humanity, in this day and age when "Football's gone to the dogs", we can show that we haven't gone to the dogs, that we are still capable of some small show that we are fellow humans. If you cannot do that, then part of your soul is missing.
What ever happened to the ooooooooooooooooooooooer you fat ******* roar for every goal kick teken by away keeper, seems a rarity nar days. Nigel Nigel Nigel good memory that.
