And that’s why we’ll be relegated. Can Wolfe follow up yesterdays efforts on Tuesday night? And if he can, how long for? Then after the international break we have 7 games in April.

If we’ve to have any chance, Poya needs to find a way to either get Palmer back to the levels that saw him walking off to a standing ovation against Coventry at the beginning of the season, or find a role for Halme as a 30 min midfielder.

I thought he did okay but still showed a few schoolboy errors that will hopefully be ironed out with a bit more experience.

Its complete hearsay, but I wonder if Palmers had an offer elsewhere or knows his contract isn’t going to be renewed? He did ok at the start of the season and showed promise, but his performances of late just look like he’s going through the motions. But then you could say the same of Benson, and we’ve still more than 3 years of his contract remaining.

Of course sky gives you a better close up view of incidents but no way does it give you a better over all view of the game. You see exactly what mr sky man wants you to see but you've got no idea where our back line is when we are attacking or where Morris is when we are defending. I have because I turn my head.

When I'm in the ground I tend to watch our front line when we are attacking. So I'm probably no worse off. I'm certainly more comfortable, and I haven't had to battle against the combined might of BMBC and BFC to get there, park and get out!

I can't blame you. I know a lot who have taken the similar view that it's not worth the effort. What I was saying though is that despite your own personal blinkered/focused way of watching games (sorry if that sounds critical it isn't meant to) quite a few people don't watch in that way and watch the whole pitch which means they have a better over all idea of how players have performed off the ball and that's something that can't be achieved from watching on TV.

We have differing views on the merits of watching on TV, but hopefully that doesn't mean I can't have an opinion?

I think you misunderstand me. Of course you can have an opinion on what you see, we all can. However you stating that you have a better view of Wolfe's over all performance due to watching on sky isn't really an opinion, it's factually incorrect. You have a better view of isolated incidents but can't possibly know how well his play is off the ball when he isn't on your TV screen. Someone at the ground chooses what they see, you don't and can't.

I thought you’d given Oakwell up as a bad job for 4/5 years now? Apologies if I’m mistaken.

SuperTyke is right though. TV is better for those high profile decisions, mistakes or moments. But you can’t replace being at the match for an overall view of setup, shape and positioning.

That could be the case now but he’s arguably been poor since September and, if I’m remembering correctly, teams can only approach players when there’s 6 months left on the contract (so January). I’d say it’s more to do with him not having someone like Mowatt next to him.

I’d imagine Palmer will be in league 1 next season, but not with us.

Well I take your point(s) guys, although I still feel that if Wolfe played that well he'd have surely come to the attention of the TV viewer at some point? I'm not on the lad's back, by the way. I think he has made good progress and holds out much promise for the future. You had me checking Ben. Last game I attended in person was the Wednesday game on 8 Feb 2020. I've banged on enough about my dissatisfaction with access, parking and the general lack of comfort in the stadium. On that occasion we also had the most abysmal policing of the surrounding streets by SYP in my recent memory. So telly for me for the foreseeable, I'm afraid!
