    100% Mike Riley's fault Imo.. I don't think Neville would have been able to convince ANY other ref. Possibly even Willard. Who would have given it, not to.

    I like him as well, although yes I agree he was a disgrace that day as a player against us.
    When even the Bbc commo Barry Davies said it was 'gamesmanship', which we all know means play acting, or out and out cheating!. :mad:

    Friend of mine met him in a hotel bar. She wasn’t impressed. Seems he made every effort to cheat off the pitch.

    Exactly. Unless someone’s going around trying to injure people deliberately I’ve not got an issue.

    Hourihane’s a hero of ours but he was a right **** house on the pitch. Regularly play acting & trying to get opponents into bother.

    Never met him personally but only heard good things.

    Someone who spent loads of time abroad with him at another major tournament couldn’t speak highly enough of him.

    So the game stops for 5 minutes, and everybody is waiting around. Whereas a temporary sub allows the game to continue, and if the head assessment fails, the temporary substitution turns into a permanent one. Works fine in rugby league.

    I genuinely can't believe that a genuine independent doctor would have let Iran's keeper continue yesterday. He needs his own head testing if he thinks that the keeper was fit to play.
