Most of the grounds we have travelled to this season have been none smoking in the stands but smoking inside. A bit wrong side out if you ask me.
The ban coming in was one of the things that helped me stop. It's easy for me to say now, but I didn't realise when I was a smoker just how much it stank!

Personally, I think it's over the top People should be able to choose. Give Tax incentives to pubs that go smoke free and encourage them to do it, but let them choose. Most of the pubs near me do food and have already gone completely smoke free. Whereas some have done the opposite and gone smoking throughout. That means I can avoid the smoking pubs, but I'm not imposing my views on them that choose to smoke. The trend is away from smoking and more pubs are banning it through choice. Equally if places what to choose to be a haven for smokers then that should be allowed. I don't smoke by the way. What I object to is the goverment trying to interfere with peoples free choice. Smoking is not illegal. If it's on health grounds then fine make it illegal (oh know they need the revenue) but I think it's poor form to enforce something that means people can't smoke and drink anywhere at all. I tell you what though. It'll make nightclubs ropey places. Someone I know said they went to a smoke free night club the other week. They said they had to leave because without the smell of smoke to cover the smell of sweat it was unbearable.
People should not be allowed to choose to foreshorten my life by smoking in my vicinity. If other people want to bum each other, smoke in their own home, take drugs, or whatever it might be that does not compromise my own existence, then fine. Equally, if I want to kill myself, then that's my choice. The conflict arises when I wish for a long life, and others do things to me which could, in principle, deny that to me.
Then...... There should be a total alcohol ban on car drivers, who can shorten your life alot quicker!! (RIP)

RE: if that was me id have had a right go So it's ok to discard your lit tab ends onto someones clothing then? Are you the person that, as I was coming out of Walkabout, jumped on his mate and in doing so knocked into me and his cig burned my hand, as I tried pushing the guy back it knocked his own cig back onto him and he then had a go at me for burning his hand! Smokers - the most ignorant, selfish people around!

RE: if that was me id have had a right go nope just had clothes ruined by smokers before. they pay to kill themselves and i have to pay for extra clothes into the bargain. how nice. if i sat in front of him i would report him. if no action is taken id have a nice word and if he continued id have a less nice word. whats the alterntive just sit there and suffer for no reason?
