Re: 'Anti-Butterfield' Thread Single mistakes, at champ level as the league is now it gets magnified and it's the difference between a lot of teams.
Re: 'Anti-Butterfield' Thread We haven't lost the games due to individual errors though. The team as a collective have been at fault
Re: 'Anti-Butterfield' Thread Maybe team was too deep ST but it was single mistakes. Steele should have saved that first goal for sure.
Re: 'Anti-Butterfield' Thread A captains job isn't to pass a ball better than someone else. You say he sets an example on the pitch. By that I assume you MUST mean he holds his head up after conceding a goal, sets an example that it isn't over and that we can get back into it. You MUST mean he sets an example by showing commitment and determination and sets an example by trying to get the rest of the team going. Only I have to say that the butterfield i've seen lately hangs his head when something doesnt go his way and looks like HE needs encouraging. Thats nowt against him, loads of players are like that but he certainly isn't a captain.
Re: 'Anti-Butterfield' Thread It was a COLLECTIVE piece of bad decision making and poor tactics that allowed them to waltz passed our players who stood off them. Steele shouldnt have even had a shot to save.
Re: 'Anti-Butterfield' Thread It was a shot 25 yard out. Steele should have been laughing when he hit it. It didn't move a lot. Steele was annoyed for the second too. He had ago at Vaz Te.
I dont think he would be my captain. I would have Bobby Hassell. But Keith cant think much of him if he plays a **** LB ahead of him... But Jacob does lead, he leads by example, leads with his fantastic performances, of which there have been many - including monday
Fans are looking too deep into a team that is evolving gradually and will be better if Butterfield remains as the Captain into next season.
