A tip for the future A guy at work told me this - and if you can just remember to do it, it can save you a lot of hassle.
As soon as you have a minor accident like that, get out the car and take a photograph of the impact, the damage and the vehicles straight away.
He used to keep a camera in his glove box, cos this was years ago, but now most of us have high quality cameras on our phones that are so handy and easy to use.
It's very difficult for folk to deny being present or causing damage if you have the photographic evidence.
Course, if it's your fault, leave the feckin camera in your pocket and hope he doesn't think about it.

not a car incident a few years ago, i was out posting n i walked up a path....strange eh! but it'd just had that glazing stuff put on it, there was all powder stuff on it, god knows how it works, a bloke jumped out n started screaming at me saying id fecked up a 3k path n he was gonna do RM for it, i just got out my phone n took pics of his badly made security fence with bits missing, his face....if looks could kill, but i never heard a peep n i still got the pic somewhere, but i always chuckle whenever i go up that path n see my size 10 tread imprinted on the stone
I was his van he he said it was his fault and he was on the intercom to his transport manager at the time, so cant seee how he can retract his statement as he didnt know what to do and was asking his manger what he should do etc. I got all his details. I will ring them tomorrow on the off chance to see if they want to settle for the cost of the new tyre that i am having to cough up for and wheel. Doubt they will though as city link are arsholes, used to use them for our delivery service at work and they cocked up no end of times.
