Does it suddenly cut out when doing 90 on the motorway?

We had a fleet of em at work and nearly every one of the turbo diesels had the fault.

    The fleet is Passatts now.

Mine used to cut out at 15mph ..........

..... turned out to be split breather hose.

It's a 2004 2.0DTI estate and is a huge car, loads of space and comfortable. However, I couldn't recommend it because of a litany offaults: split hoses (twice), LCD display failure, broken rear springs, cruise-control U/S, PAS pump failure - all of which wouldhave cost me a fortune if it wasn'ta company car - and it's only done 30K miles

    They are great cars

when they dont have faults which unfortunately they have loads of.

Like you say they are massive, fantastic motorway beasts and workhorses but unfortunately as dozens of people at work found out they are apt to fall over for one reason or another.
