Could be a good Idea for our board, plonk a load of faces on Barnsley shirts and get em announced. We'd still go for league 2 players
Don't know what I would hate the most.... 1) Selling another striker to that ***** Neil Harris. 2) The low price being mentioned. 3) Woodrow and Moore being a strikeforce for someone other than us. I will go with option 3.
Cauley was outstanding when playing with Kieffer! Why the hell would we let Cardiff (of all teams) have our best strike force in years! No need to sell, just get a suitable player to bring the best out of him
Why is it that as soon as there may be a suggestion that one of our better players might be sold, there's always some who want to claim the lad isn't all that good anyway? They seem to almost revel in any loss of form to prove their point. It was the same with Jacob Butterfield, Adam Hammill and the most comical of all Brian Howard. "We don't need Howard anyway, Diego Leon is a much better player and he'll score the goals Howard did!".
Tosh? Your last sentence is There have been many posts on here about how Woodrow has downed tools ("had his head turned") already. That's tosh. Eriksen's not a good example to use in these circumstances cos he actually did seem to down tools. If he didn't then he suddenly became crap. Brown wanted to leave us, so he did.The same will apply to Woodrow. Down to wages. The fee will likely end up being undisclosed so that it's not obvious whether we've got the going rate or not.
Despite what he’s actually worth, he’s obviously worth far more TO US in this current climate. If we sell him for £2.5m even if he’s worth that that’s hugely worrying for me for this coming season.
Exactly this. I love a good moan as well as the next man when things aren't going right. But I know a good player when I see one, and Woodrow is a good player, arguably the best at our club. Is he going through a lean spell - absolutely. Should we sell him? Absolutely not. We should endeavour to keep our best players at this club unless clubs are willing to spend silly money.
‘Having scored only 1 goal in 15 league games, and that being a poxy penalty at Middlesbrough, we decided to get rid. We already have adequate replacements at the club in Victor and George but all money will be reinvested* into the playing squad.’ *we’re saving the money for the upcoming court case
Form is temporary class is permanent. If Cardiff don’t want to pay more because his goals have dried up, then why are they in for him in the first place? lets Just remember they paid £6 million for Gary fkn Madine 2 years ago, just let that sink in.
No he didn’t at all. He played for them whilst inter where in the process of bidding for him. It was literally after that conversation that they used him in a game. They might want to leave I understand that. They just need to understand it needs to be a deal that works for them and Barnsley fc.
