We had good craic with some Cardiff fans prior to the game

In fact one of them travelled with us all the way from Farnham to Waterloo. You'll always get the small minority tarring everyone with the same brush.

Can you explain something to us all? What's the tapping off heads all about? We can't work it out for the life of us.

    I wish them well.

All the lot I saw were very friendly both before and after the game.
They are now the under-dogs and it has to be good for football for them to win

I thought that was common knowledge

Had to explain it to our coach as we fought our way out of the single exit gate. They're 'doing the ayatollah' - summat from when Sam Hammam was at the club, I believe. Whenever they showed some mad arabs on the news burning flags and that, they all bounce around doing that gesture. With Hammam being of that persuasion, it was in deference to him. He used to join in,as I recall.

Shame on Cardiff. Shame on Wales.

You know full well you've got way more than your fair share of neanderthals. It's not just a Cardiff thing, it's a Wales thing.

A little comparison for you. The only reports of Barnsley's last trip to Wembley, when we played Ipswich, an English club, were of friendliness, congeniality and sportsmanship on both sides.

Of course we know you're not all bitter, small-minded racists but a notable proportion are. You'd do better to just admit that and get on with trying to fix it.

Time to let the England thing go now I think but that's up to you.

All what they have done, is showed what(wnkr) they are. I hope we have got league survival done & dusted before we play the(wnkr) at there ground, or they could trouble on a massive scale.

    RE: Thugs looking for trouble

No I didnt but I did two laps of the stadium on the outside, watched us give a "warm" welcome to your coaches at the other entrance, no real hatred there, saw a few of your boys walk through and hand out the W@nker signs, give the England chants while ours gave it back. Most people on the coaches were laughing and giving back as good as they got. I was there when the players coaches went through one after the other, we boo'd yours and cheered ours, nothing unexpected there.

I didnt see any fighting along Wembley Walk/way as I wasnt on it but are you trying to tell me Cardiff Fans were fighting Cardiff Fans?

"Goading the Barnsley fans at every opportunity" - Overstated to say the least.

Would you be like this if you had won? Who's to say what we would of been like but I think there would of been trouble, real trouble.

Yer see Cardiff fans see a trip into England as a small insignificant country invading ........

the most important country in the World
Its a sort of inferiority complex they have

Thats why if you get any English club playing Cardiff and the welsh police are there.....the welsh police will target the English club fans...........they see it as them against us

Chanting 'England' at them really upsets them

One thing for sure - every bit of hassle out side the ground they seem to be coming a poor second

The lads I met were decent lads...

... we chatted for 10 minutes or so about the game, shook hands and the parting words from one of the lads was 'tell folk we're not all hooligans' so I will. It all depends who you come across.

RE: Shame on Cardiff. Shame on Wales.

No No, its over this board in other places along with calling Chinese "Chinky's" thats racist I belive?

"It's not just a Cardiff thing, it's a Wales thing" - Oh so now its only all Cardiff Fans who are thugs but all the country! Ask yourself this. "Are all Cardiff Fans Welsh"? Answer is "No".

What is it you'd like me to admit, we are racist? Are you for real? What racist chanting did you hear? I didn't hear any, Cardiff has and always been a multi racial community from the days it was the worlds busiest dock, we don't have that problem down here, we dont have a problem with being branded "Sheep ********" or Taff's.

Bitter because of what? Bitter we have our on nationality? Bitter we won yesterday? I feel bitter that the English FA don't want us in Europe, but rightly so UEFA will step in if needed. Bitter that after being excellent hosts the FA Cup and other games they have left our great City and great stadium to return to its rightful home?

Im glad you had a great day with Ipswich I'm also glad you had a great day with us, as mentioned in various threads.

Have a closer look at who is bitter.

    Goading! yes goading!

Wembley way was quite something....gestering for Barnsley fans to have a go at them, coming over and sticking their faces up close and many others mingling up close trying to get a reaction by whatever means possible. The result was irelevent, having travelled far and wide i dont think i have met such terrible supporters as Cardiff City. They do your Club/City and Nation no favours at all.

    You're missing the point again.

You're asking this board not to generalise but almost every point you attempt to make contains a sweeping generalisation. This board, like any other large gathering of individuals, contains all kinds. I've already said we know you're not all bitter bigots but what you seem to be in denial about is that you have a disproportionate amount.

And I'm sure not all Cardiff fans are Welsh but, come on, most are and you know full well the hostility of your moronic sector is towards the English not towards South Yorkshire mining towns. We're all really sorry about the past but it wasn't us. It was a long time ago. "Time to get over it."

We did have a great day with Ipswich mate, thanks. We lost the match but there was no bitterness, we're not like that. Bitterness is spitting at families with children and calling them "English b4stards" not pointing out that it's wrong to do so.

You're on hiding to nothing mate. You can attempt to deny it till the cows come home but you have an uncomfortable percentage of anti-English bigots down there and they were out in force yesterday shaming your city.

Oh and if youmust attempt to conduct a debate in the language of your masters do try to comprehend properly. Nowhere did I refer to "racist chanting."

    I wouldn't worry CCFC.

People are a bit upset at the moment, and need to let off steam.

I had some banter with Cardiff fans before and after the game and had no trouble. I have no doubt there were some isolated incidents, but I suppose Cardiff fans can quote Barnsley fans causing trouble as well.

Good luck for the 17th May, and see you down at your place before.

RE: You're missing the point again.

You may need to read other posts I have made to understand my views:

Im not sure about my sweeping generalisation other than to try and tell you we arn't all idiots, neither are you, neither are Wolves, Bristol, Southampton or England abroad.

The vast vast majority of our fans are well behaved you cant put a figure on "disproportionate". I still refuse to rule out that we have idiots who attach ourselves to our clubs as mentioned in the thread about fans pi$$ing in the stadium. Honestly being tarnished with this brush has helped me grow up with no denial, I know its a fact. Sorry if you have misunderstood me on that.

Of couse the majority of our fans are Welsh of course the anti-English thing is vs England not mining towns. Its very very stange to me why we do it but I can kind of see why. It flies both ways. "Sheep ********, Taffy *****, Inbreds, Welsh *******" so we give it back. I say we, I mean them. I was brought up in England I am Welsh through and through, half of my family are English, the majority of my clubs players are English. When they sing "England if full of ****" do you think they belive it? No they are just responding to what they are getting back. We wouldnt fight side by side in Iraq if we were anti English. We wouldnt be proud of Simon Jones helping win back the ashes in '95 for the ECB as an example, small and hardly appropriate I know. Im gutted I cant cheer on England this summer, I'm gutted for my Nephews Im used to not being able to support Wales but trust me a lot of us would support England is we see it as represting the UK, its the same with Scotland the RoI and NI.

I dont feel disgusted by your fans calling our kids and families "Welsh *******" Im over it seen it many time and will continue to do so, spitting is disgusting. Im not looking for you to apolagise to us for that neither can I apolagise back but its bang out of order I agree. Yes we have an uncomfortable amount of anti-English as you do anti-Welsh, Scottish, Irish, Islam, Jewish blah blah blah zzzzz getting bored with it now we got them aswell. I cant deny it, you cant deny it and I dont think either of us can do a damn thing about it but none of us want it that way. Other than perhaps racists, real racists perhaps like the BNP.

Its only a few of you that say we shamed our city, Ive seen almost the same number saying you shamed yourselves. Our city, our club and fans feel proud of us today as should yours.

No real comment to the last paragraph about our "Masters Language" but it would be easy for me to say something like "Sums you up really" but I am happy to carry on with this debate with you and thank you for the time taken in replying to me so far. The conducting of the debate IMO has so far been a success and not just an attempt as you replied rather than ignore.
