So, numerous second tier clubs are reportedly showing interest in a target man who has scored 27 goals in total, during his two seasons at second tier level. That's an average of 13.5 goals a season. That's 21 goals for Barnsley, who finished 21st and 23rd in those seasons, and 6 goals for a Sheffield Wednesday side who were 19th in the table on the day he departed. He's probably in his prime at 28 years old, and whilst one of Barnsley's top earners, I imagine his salary is quite low for a second tier goalscorer coveted by big spending/debt accumulating second tier clubs. So overall, I wouldn't be the slightest bit surprised if there were indeed a number of second tier clubs interested in recruiting him. Perhaps these clubs/managers reportedly keen on Chris, see him scoring more goals in their side? The sort of clubs linked with him so far are not the struggling types are they? He's also very good at creating/making chances for others. He scores different types of goals too. In summary, I'd be amazed if there aren't a number of second tier clubs chasing his signature. I would love for him to remain a BFC player, to bang in 20+ goals next season, see out his contract and then leave on a bosman or sign a new deal upon our promotion back to the second tier, where he and we belong. Unfortunately - and despite BM's best attempts at spin - we're probably skint and will be hoping to offload him. And others.
Totally different game and they go on as though they know exactly what happened and they have no clue
