Been in a management position for 30 years, in March decided to do my HGV class1, i am now driving part time at the weekends and apart from the reversing of the truck i love it.
Not quite the Trigger type mate, it's mainly kerbing and tarmac-ing, although I don't mind using the old broom when required.
I'm feeling the same. I've handled industrial disease claims for the best part of 20 years and I'm bored! I want something else to have a go at to make a career from while I've still got time. Trouble is, I'm a dunce and only have GCSE qualifications to my name (I do have level 2 talent identification in football but unless you do voluntary work, it is pointless) Wasted life springs to mind.

Do something you actually like doing.. driving, teaching, working out doors.. working with your hands, your mind working in a group or solo.. what are your interests. Have a think, get the info then start making steps in that direction.
Silly question Mr C but have you ever had a 'normal' job? I know you've been in bands, obviously you're a talented artist, you've had the job at the museum doing god knows what it was you did but have you ever had a boring, what people would consider normal, job?
