I accept that there has to be cuts/reorganisation of finances but those 2 fees ( if true) are well below the players worth. It smacks of a fire sale
Pretty gutted about this. I expected/hoped at least one of Woodrow or Morris would stay, now they’ll both be at Luton it seems. A Morris who plays 40 games in league 1 for us gets at least 20 goals in my opinion. Not just goals he offers either, he’s a complete striker. Just always got that injury upcoming. Going to be hard to replace him but I guess we’ve done quite well with replacements in recent years (minus Moore).
Badge on the front not the name on the back no loyalty now we move on this year was about rebuilding trust the board we will come back, got more faith now than last year 7 mill to cover obvious who gonna go styles n helik prob next but hey we go on
Top scorer with seven goals. I keep repeating that I really rate him, but we'd be questioning more than £2m being spent on a player with his goalscoring and injury record.
Not according to transfer market… https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/schnellsuche/ergebnis/schnellsuche?query=Carlton+Morris+
I’m guessing last week Cauley was £1 mill… https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/cauley-woodrow/profil/spieler/169801
So he is going for more than 2million? Breaking lutons transfer record? Someone just said 1.5million? We only scored 30 goals in total theres more than goal to morris game.
Haven't they struggled to keep their best players AFTER going up though? They lost a couple to Wigan and Boro. They also had five players on loan that season so less demand for their first team players would be a valid point to make. They weren't 12 months removed from being in the Championship Playoffs.
People are saying the deal is a poor one. Which means they think we should have been demanding more. Over £2m. I'm just pointing out how mental we'd be accusing our own board of being if he wasn't our player today and one we were signing. There's got to be more than goals to his game, because he's never scored double figures in one season.
As much as I like Morris, the games he missed due to injury in the months after the 1-1 draw with Birmingham are for me when last season all went wrong. Had he been injury free we might well have avoided the drop. When he returned to the side, every time he was tackled, I was convinced he'd be out again, the mental anguish was almost unbearable....
