You did offer an opinion and not facts. That's not an accusation; it's an accurate grammatical description. Posted here again for your perusal If you can underline any 'facts' in that feel free - BTW facts are quantifiable, not just reheated opinions. Some of the above is a reasonable synopsis - some of it less so - but it's still opinion. I'm a fan of Alan Johnson and he said some sensible stuff - but he never pretended any of it was 'facts' he gave his opinion of Momentum which was scathing - and exactly the opinion I'd expect him to say. In the great scheme of things I'm closer to him than to Momentum - but that doesn't mean I think he said anything 'factual'. And neither did you. Before you dig any deeper - my day job is analytics - I deal in facts and figures for a living.
The momentum guy ? Did you realise he was Jewish ? Maybe Johnson was been anti semitic ? Disgusting behaviour if you ask me .
You are unbelievable you know that? you can split hairs all day long but you know I was right no matter how you try to dilute it, it’s the exact delusional thinking that helped cost Labour the election. Anyway it’s a blatant waste of time continuing this so I’m done
It's not splitting hairs - there's an obvious difference between fact and opinion - and you clearly don't understand it And what's your opinion worth - I've already told you I'm not siding with the people you perceive to be wrong. You're not only posting opinions, I gave you the opportunity to underline the facts and instead you went for the ad hominem attack, you're failing to analyse the evidence staring you in the face. Delusional is jumping to conclusions based on dogma and belief - I'm not the one doing that. I'm not the one jumping to conclusions. A grown up would have responded with 'I appreciate it's just an opinion - but it's based on what I've witnessed', rather than getting butt hurt and going on the attack. We've reached a very low point in a debate where 'Let's analyse the evidence before jumping to conclusions' is seen as 'delusional'.
And there we go , with the patronising , your’e dumb, ,I’m grown you’re not, stuff, putting words in my mouth. You might as well go with my dads bigger than you are Everybody who has an opinion other than yours you just dismiss. Selective use of what data is acceptable and what’s not . Thats why it’s a total waste of time debating politics on here
FFS grow up man. I never voiced an opinion - simply pointed out that your opinion was just that, an opinion. Me stating that was a fact. I'll proudly admit to being a pedant - that's what I get paid for, to cut through the crap and only take note of facts. Again though - you could have responded to the point rather than the personal attack. Look for the facts
Personal attack my arse, I only said you ignore what you want and believe what you do. Then you came in with the more intelligent than you stuff, because apparently you can sift through stuff other mere mortals can’t. As for facts if I watch loads of interviews and everybody is saying the same thing that to me is a fact, certainly as much as written’facts’ and stats which we all know can be manipulated to give whatever outcome you want. Anyway as I said before it’s a total waste of time so that’s it
Utter utter nonsense. I see your 'anger management' is not going too well. It is Extreme Labour supporters still fighting a class war like you that actuall puts most people off voting Labour. At what point will the penny drop?
What is so utterly utterly depressing is that there isn’t recognition that there still is a class war going on but it’s more akin to genocide at the moment.
So who do you consider is 'working class' then? Also all the pontificating, virtue signalling and protesting coming from Momentum etc, does not actually achieve anything.
Working class people are ones who work for a living with a salary or wage. That’s nearly everyone in our society.
Having calmed down a bit since Saturday, and also having had the chance to watch videos of our goals, I just wanted to comment on the QPR goalkeeper. In general, facing a penalty is one of the hardest tasks for a 'keeper, but he was only a couple of cm away from saving it. That's the positive side. He was beaten at his near post for the first, positioning all wrong and, although it was a great finish, he hardly twitched as the ball flew past him. For the second, once again he was slightly out of position and beaten at the near post. He didn't help by sinking to his knees as if he was proposing. For our third, once again he hardly moved. I put that down to Chaplin's quick feet, but the ball went central in the goal and the keeper wasn't that far away from it. Also, he made a hash of the initial shot from Brown which he failed to gather. A very poor goal from his point of view. And on to Bambo's goal. If you watch the defender on their left facing the free kick, he wasn't concentrating, and his body language when the ball was slipped to Chaplin could be roughly translated as "oh b0llox". But then on to the keeper. He was in the centre of the goal, where the ball went in, and made no attempt to spread himself, make himself big etc. He just stood there. The funniest thing in all this is that the keeper didn't seem to be that bothered that he'd conceded. He just had a drink, wiped his hands and carried on with hardly any emotion. A very poor performance.
NYR, if you are a Tory MP and have an opinion different from the far-right rabble of the ERG you are kicked out of the party if you don't believe me ask Ken Clarke or Sir Nicholas Somes so anyone with a different opinion is just dismissed actually happens in real life and not only on bulletin board of which a bulletin board as a meaning of F-all.
He might have said it, but he stole it (common theme among Tories) - a version of it dates back at least to Jonathan Swift in 1710. Falsehood flies, and the Truth comes limping after it
Caroline Flint has links (through Prospect UK IIRC) to Tufton Street, and although not quite in the Kate Hoey league has been undermined the Labour leadership - see also Lisa Nandy.
The thing today that’s really making my blood boil is the casual acceptance of all of the media of Johnson’s latest morally bankrupt stance. The idea that he’s going to plough money into the areas in the North and Midlands that have voted Tory. No questioning from anyone that maybe a government ought to put money in where it’s needed. Also an admission that the Torys have ignored the North for ten years. Notice absolutely no mention of Scotland or Northern Ireland cos they haven’t doffed their caps like good little proles. You are either with us or against - Thatcher. So much for One ******* Nation Conservatism.
