Agree with that the reaction was awful Cole did quite well to create that chance. And luke you day from our captain who should be encouraging its poor.

As I've said he's been on a bad run of form. I've also said I'd have taken him off over Cole. That was not the subject of this thread, or anything I've talked about.

I'd like to see Cole and Iseka as the focal point for a while because of the simple fact they both have pace and always look to play foreward. Hopefully Morris and Oulare can get match fit to support them.

Yes, I'd have taken him off instead of Devante Cole.

Having said that, lazy is not an adjective that can be applied to Woodrow,

Not good, not good at all. Needs a reality check but with so little experience in the team/club he is probably the top dog.

I wouldn’t say Woodrow is lazy. When Morris and Iseka came on, and Woodrow moved to the left with Morris down the middle, could see their centre backs able to carry the ball forward a lot easier. Whereas Woodrows work off the ball made that harder.

That said, he needs a spell out of the team. And he shouldn’t be captain. He sulks when things go wrong. His reactions when a decision goes against him are embarrassing. We need someone to lead by example. I’d be picking adeboyejo over Woodrow at the moment. He lacks quality but he still makes life hard for defenders

His first touch his abysmal. He is supposed to be captain and he cannot even trap a ball

Woodrow needs to be taken out of the team. He looks like he's playing with the weight of the world on his shoulders. Nothing is happening for him. We were in the ground early today, and I watched him warm up. His shooting was woeful even from close range, hitting the bar, mis-hitting, blazing over. He looks thoroughly fed up. I just don't see how it is doing him any good, or the team any good to have him "exempt" from being substituted.
Cole was lively - what are we doing pulling him off / dropping him when Woodrow is so out of form? Someone needs to get Woodrow to one side, and work with him, because I can't remember seeing a player looking so unhappy on the pitch. Leaving him on is simply digging him a bigger hole to get out of, and is terrible player management.

That said, I would never call Woodrow lazy. He does work - he just looks so laboured at the moment.

You can’t defend the indefensible. He’s been woeful for weeks. Not his fault I suppose though if a succession of coaches fail to leave him out or sub him off.
Cole was head and shoulders our best forward tonight. Asbaghi did himself no favours subbing him off in his first game and leaving Woodrow on.
    The mind truly boggles….

This above is one of the few pieces of sense in this thread.

This comment about Woodrow "He’s been just as much of a disgrace as our owners this season" is just bizarre.

    Aggression??

No just disappointment with what we are witnessing.

Behind closed doors yeah that’s what we need if they can only play without fans we’d be European champions wouldn’t we?

To be fair, it's only adding weight to one shoulder.

The title of this thread is disgusting and unsurprisingly so are some of the posts. One of whom, (East Stand Lower) rarely posts but when he does continues in what appears to be at worst some kind of vendetta against Woodrow, and at best, a claim to say I told you so. It’s utterly pathetic. I’ve defended Woodrow many times on here and will continue to do so whilst ever he is being accused of being lazy, uncaring and not putting the effort it, it simply isn’t true. I’m not blindly defending his performances, like any player, opinions and criticisms of them are up for debate and discussion, but accusations like the title of this thread are so wrong. Where’s the vitriol from theses posters about our poor defending this season?

    Just me slating Woodrow then?

I used to post on here very regular but got fed up of the Clique

That Clique still seems to be very much here!!

As for a vendetta against Woodrow if I performed like that at work I’d accept all the abuse aimed at me. I take it you haven’t seen my post where I slag Brittain and Moon off??

If my kids refuse to do what I ask I call them useless I suppose ive got a vendetta against them

I love Woodrow as much as the next man, but he needs a break. He's been our best and most consistent player for the last 4 years or so - but he's so out of form it's unbelievable.

Take him out of the side for a little bit, give him a few half our cameos. Hopefully this could reduce a little bit of the pressure on him and take him out of the firing line for the time being.

His performances are magnified at the minute because everyone else is garbage too - and you look to your best players to get you through difficult times. The trouble is, when your best player is the worse of the lot, then you've got major issues.

Hopefully one bounces in off his hairy arse soo. We need him back to his best.

Got to admit it did raise a chuckle in the first half when he dived or was fouled in the penalty area (no replay)
he just stood there for what seemed like a eternity and then slowly trudged away with a look of bewilderment on his face, arms out to his side and up in the air looking one way and then the other way and then back again.

the play had moved on and all the other players the ref and linesman were at the other end of the pitch !!
And he was just stood there on his own with no one else in sight looking left and right appealing and hoping to get a decision from who i have no idea.
