The OP said he put 50% effort in. That’s why you’re seeing replies talking about his work rate.

What about when his movement to drag their defenders out of position to the near post left Iseka wide open for a header he should have buried for 1-0?

So Cole then, bearing in mind Morris and your Gran are currently unavailable.

If you're wanting a striker to score goals Devante Cole may not be your man.

In my opinion there was a massive lack of effort at times. A loose ball yards away from him that he just doesn't go for etc.

Woodrow is obviously suffering a lack of confidence/form in front of goal - a fair comment.

But to say he's not putting any effort is completely daft.

Who’s this magical midfielder he’s being replaced with?

His effort isn't in question (well, it shouldn't be), but I don't think anyone can put their hand on their heart and say he constantly deserves to play the full 90 mins. As others have said, Vic and Freiser always give 100% but no one bats an eyelid if they don't start or get hauled off early doors, they also regularly get berated for putting in performances exactly the same standard as Woodrow.

Woodrow, for whatever reason, could definitely do with a break and he absolutely should not be captain. Helik or even Benson would be a better leader on the pitch IMO.

I'm one of his biggest critics re lack of goalscoring. But as in any team struggling at the foot of the league. Confidence turns to panic decisions on the ball.
As for effort, cant fault him. Reading away being the prime example. He was head and shoulders above anyone. Hopefully he can return to that kind of form once results improve.

If Morris is fit, let’s be honest, you’d have to drop Woodrow of the front 3 last night to accommodate him.

No you wouldn’t - I’d start him in place of Victor

I wouldn't. In terms of the way he plays, Morris comes in for Adeboyejo.

If I was picking a new captain, I'd be picking Mads over Helik. Helik's supposed to be a captain in the defence this season anyway, regardless of who has the armband. And am not sure he's really been offering any sort of leadership there.

Can't see the criticism of Woodrow as someone who doesn't put a shift in. He doesn't hide and he puts himself about in my opinion. However, I would drop him. He's a striker and he he doesn't strike. He has had poor service this season that's true but often he snatches at shots, makes poor decisions or makes poor passes. He was the same last year and that was in a winning team.
Might be a confidence thing, might be a complacency thing, might be a pressure thing or might be he's not as good as some on here think he is. He should at least be dropped so he can freshen up.
