He's performed his best in a Barnsley shirt that's for sure. Bristol fans cant believe he got the equaliser after their experience with him

You spelled it Hurst. We had a Glynn Hurst. David's surname was Hirst

Yes but surrounded by a lot better side. Woodrow is out performing given the circumstances.

Since I started watching the reds in 87, and thinking about all round play and influence on the team, I'd go with:

Ashley Ward (absolute monster who dominated defenders)
Neil Shipplerley (powerhouse focal point up top)
Ollie McBurnie (Loan but what a player - pace, aggression, incessant running, goals - the lot)
    John Hendrie (classy)
    Jan Aage Fjortoft (power)
David Currie (dancer with magic feet)
Bruce Dyer (fox in the box finisher)
Sam Winnall (brilliant movement and finisher)

Woodrow is getting there, could be around the Winnall/Dyer placings if we still have him next year.

Honourable mentions to Moore, Vaz Te, Payton, Biggins, MacDonald, Liddell. Hignett was sublime but thought of him as playmaker a bit deeper.

Looking at my list 4 of the top 5 had real presence, the sort of forward that bullies defenders and can play back to goal, something we miss.

He's good, but if he doesn't get a goal does he give us much else?

I dunno if he's as good as Winnall was for us at this level yet but that might be because he was in a team that could pass to each other.

He’s an outstanding finisher. Not convinced about his all round game to rate him as high as some other strikers we’ve had

I’ve had my season ticket just over 15 years now and I’d say he’s the best I’ve seen in that time.

He's good but I wouldn't rate him above Ward, Fjortoft or Shipperley yet.

Keep it to yourselves, but despite the reds being rock bottom, we have a 1 in 2 championship striker in Cauley. He scores a variety of goals, is good on the ball and an expert in shithousery.

He's probably already on some January shopping lists.

    Yes.

Apart from Ashley Ward, Neil Shipperley, John Hendrie, Bruce Dyer, Andy Payton, Get Rammell on, Oli McBurnie, I’d even shout Sam Winnall as not being far behind.

Woodrow is a good centre forward - and so we will probably sell him soon.

But let’s not go overboard, he’s got 6 in 12, not 6 in 8, and at times isn’t in the game at all. In all fairness he’s in a poor side, and with Mowatt he’s clearly our best player, but at this level I’ve seen a few I’d rate as better.

That said if they sell him we are done for! A penny less than £5million and they are idiots.
