    so I guess one club extends the contract of one while the other confirms they will let his contract expire. I expected neither but interesting how it played out.

    How much was Cardiff being a bit meh as an option a factor in Woodrow staying? I know they've been in Premier League and challenge but South Wales is a grimy run down **** hole. Maybe if an half decent club like a West Ham or West Brom had been in for him it would have been different? We'll never know.

    I don't think footballers look at it that way. They just look at £££££££££££.

    Also what do you think Cardiff think about Barnsley?

    I used to live near WBA ground as well (about 5 miles away in South Birmingham) and I can tell you it wasn't very salubrious:)

    Salubrious...ooh a bit posh for a Saturday lol. I know it's football snobbery but if I'm Woodrow at 26 I want my next move to be a big one in finance and prestige mate.

    I honestly think Cardiff didn't have the money to meet our valuation of Cauley. It was said the day before that we were poles apart in terms of a valuation, and then Harris said they were likely to only be doing loan deals. I don't think they could afford him when it came to it. I presume Cauley never had the opportunity to try and agree terms with them.
