yes i have... ..seen both half of the old firm home and away. the vitriol and, quite frankly, ignorance is scary. even in hospitality at parkhead, the neanderthals were out in force. must admit, i think rangers have the worst of the actual bigotry, but celtic aren't far behind. the old firm will never clamp down too hard on it. it's their major'focal point' for getting in fanatical support. i do, however love to wind up rangers fans when they start their oh so lovely songs about the pope. i like to remind them whos army king billy led at the battle of the boyne. they don't like that.
They came down to everton a few years ago for a testimonial and filled the entire bullens road stand . Amazing turn out! Sang all through the game
Are you on about Celtic vs. Rangers? They are scary days indeed. But Celtic at the likes of Man Utd are great fun.
Correct My work colleagues son plays for them. How about the likes of McGeady, O'Dea, etc. who are always in and around the first team? They have a big Scottish/Irish team.
Thats 1 then , he sure has brought the homegrown lads along. It must have been pretty bleak under Strachan then.
The Anti_England songs were amusing I must admit. Although all the shops closing by 4 or 5pm when Celtic are in town isnt ideal.
Lots of english fans claim to be the best Liverpool , Newcastle , Man City etc but not one of them come close to celtic fans
Tell me about it Just being in Glasgow on the day of an Auld Firm match is scary enough, nevermind actually being there. It makes you value life a whole lot more afterwards though!
Not really They have a fantastic youth system which is always bringing through decent young players. They've recently taken John Park from Hibs, who has brought through the likes of Riordan, Brown, Thompson, Sproule, O'Connor, etc. in recent years to name a few. Celtic would have no trouble naming a first 11 of homegrown players if need be. And they'd still be a decent side playing decent football.
