How come none of them are playing then? They had 1 playing today , no doubt they sometimes have 3 or 4 , the way you are talking them up they play 11 every game.

Yes. I would say any fan of a club that wins the majorityof the time has the easiest job in the world.
Whats hard about supporting Celtic?

one thing i will say for Celtic is.... ...they took wayne biggins off our hands!! and gave us their top scorer for 3 years in return!!
squad rotation In recent weeks O'Dea, Beattie, McGeady, Sheridan, McGovern, Riordan, Cuthbert, have all featured. They have a big squad to rotate, which along with the homegrown also include the likes of Vennegor of Hesselink who is a class act.
Can't see many clubs taking 8,000+ fans to a midweek testimonial in Liverpool winning or not. Not just that but they made an amazing amount of noise an you could have a drink with them and tlk about footrball after the game. Wouldn't fancy meeting a geordie for a drink after amatch!

They travel in their masses Even for testimonials at thes likes of Man Utd, Everton, Coventry. Friendliest fans I've ever met, never stop making noise, never get on the backs of the team. And to hear 60,000 fans sing "You'll Never Walk Alone" is just sheer class.
surely the best fans are... at east stirling. couple of years ago, 2 wins all season, single figures pointswise.
aye, friendly for friendlies. and as for taking so many, it's almost a hobby to get on a train and get drunk. actually having a game to go to at the end must be like a bonus. i kid you not, i know people who take a carry out on the train at glasgow, drink all the way to somewhere in england. go to a few pubs, then get a new carry out for the journey back. all in the same day. why do you think there's alaways drunken scots on trains? i'm not kidding, it's true!
What constitutes a "better" fan It's numbers - just because 8,000 follow a club everywhere does not make those fans any better than 200 following Barnsley everywhere.
I know it's true The drinking culture up here is scary! I was sat in Glasgow airport last Saturday at 5am awaiting my plane down to Southampton. Sat in the bar having my breakfast and the place was heaving with drunken Weegies. Do you ever watch SPL games? take a look at away games, behind both goals it'll be crammed with Celtic fans.
But my point is he's a Scottish youngster, brought through the ranks at Hibs, now slightly older, still playing in the same league with the biggest team. Strachan prefers to go for home grown players instead of too many foreigners, which is what I prefer.
don't get to many games any more.... ..but even the tv scheduling is biased in favour of the old firm. it's always, say, motherwell or hibs or whoever at home against rangers or celtic. rarely the old firm at home. this means the 'lesser' clubs lose out on ticket revenue and backing/atmosphere when the old firm come to town. their grounds look half empty (ok, they usually are!) and because there's enough brainwashed old firm fans all over the country, it's like a home game for them.
Motherwell average 6,000 most seasons Which is pretty pathetic! Their ground is a dump too, used to go to college right next door to it. Setanta seem to avoid the Auld Firm recently for league matches, it's been the likes of Dundee Utd vs. Hibs, which for the record was the worst game of "football" ever!
the old firm have done that for years... ..guy has a decent season at, say, hibs or falkirk, and the old firm snap them up. usually on the cheap too. i suppose at least celtic actually give them a run in the team. the list of young prospects ruined by rangers must be massive
Rangers buy them refuse to play them, they get restless and want to leave. Although, they seem to be sticking with Kris Boyd who has apparent talent. Gordon Strachan is a big fan of homegrown, always gives them a fair chance. Only gripe Celtic fans have with him is Paul Telfer, and I can see why!
