He was excellent, but I don't think there was ever a realistic possibility of us signing him at the time due to his wages at Hull (£20k p/w rings a bell as the figure quoted).

I'd love to see him in a Reds shirt again, but I can't see it happening unless he's out of contract and prepared to take a significant wage cut. Even then, I suspect he'd get better offers elsewhere.
