Me neither. Wonder if we got add ons, too...

Still think, unless we are absolutely skint, selling O'Grady for £500k would be even worse than flogging Vaz Te/Hammill etc for that.

    Gotcha, thanks for the explanation.

I was thinking totally about the England team and the connection with Barnsley FC never entered my head. May need to go and have a lie down.

Speaks very well and gave people a free cup of tea at Brighton. Very few of his promises have come to fruition so far.

I think he's worth more. We'll have to see if we do sell what the price is, although we may never actually find out.

In the first two games we played with an almost 4-2-4 system & Welbeck & Sterling offered barely any protection for our worst back 4 in my lifetime, it was ridiculous.

Even Henderson was bombing on to join in at times, no idea why Roy allowed himself to be convinced that tactics like that would work at international level

That's what I saw too. I thought we'd go with 4-3-3, but the extra midfield player (Sterling in the first game, Rooney in the second) pushed up to play as a second striker, making it a 4-2-4 like you said. A 4-3-3 wouldn't suit either Sterling or Rooney (both struggled when played in the wide position) so leave them out, because what we did was suicide really. Way too many attacking players on the field. If Hodgson thought either Sterling or Rooney had to play down the middle, then drop the other one, drop Welbeck, play 4-4-1-1 and pick two wide players who can cover for the defence.

We don't have very good players, that's a fact you can't get over, but I was very surprised that Hodgson abandoned his usual tentative approach and went with probably the most attacking formation of any team in the tournament.

Good joke mate. If you haven't noticed he has retired from the game and is on record as saying he would never manage England.

Definitely. I genuinely think he got swayed by all the 'play like Liverpool' talk. Liverpool were brilliant to watch but there only playing quality sides on average once a month, you simply can't be as open as we were & expect to qualify
