James is just quality. The first time he was here was amazing, he was the best player on the pitch by a country mile. He's way out of our league (wages wise) and can only dream of keeping a player like James for any length of time. If I was one of the younger players I'd be watching and listening to everything he does. Players like him won't be coming here very often, we are very lucky to have him.

Furthermore, he just looks and sounds like a true gentleman and there aren't many of those about in the game in this day and age.

Fair enough. I'd just like to see Kane play alongside Styles or Mowatt before I say we can't manage without James.

No problem with Kane coming in, in fact, I still think our best team would have a midfield three of Kane, James and Mowatt (assuming Styles is at LWB). Just think it's a bit early to be worrying about him getting stroppy at not being first choice.

Agree with giving James a rest, probably move Styles in and start with Williams maybe at wing back? Only issue is you’ve got 2 left footers in central midfield? Agree that Victor has shown in enough to earn a star over Frieser, but maybe he’s more effective as physical presence as a sub?

I think the issue with Styles and Mowatt as a midfield two is you want them both to have license to get forward, which they wont have in this system. They'd both play better with James and probably better with either Palmer or Kane as well. Kane has played a lot deeper than I expected him to when I've seen him.

I've seen Kane play once v Stoke City and he looked to be playing just in front of back four.

Quarterback. Think it was him that picked up the ball from the defence in the build up to Victor's goal against Derby.

Would be surprised if James starts all three games on Saturday, Tuesday, Friday. Think I'd prefer Kane to come in for him and Styles move inside if we need to give Mowatt a rest.
