It is, so act like one. You, and the rest of the mongrel race that comprises of those slagging off Simon Davey for 'lack of transfer activity'. You (like I) know nothing. So, please, keep the opinions coming - but loosen up with the negativity and slagging off. What good does it do? Get behind the lads!
Re: Sorry but I don't agree 500k in today's market is a small price to pay for an attacking midfielder of his type. Don't forget his 2 goals came in 13 games, average that over a season he'd be getting 7/8 goals from midfield as opposed to Colace and ADS who won't get 2 between them. He also scored 18 in 89 for Rangers, is left footed and good from free kicks. I think we've let a real bargain slip through our fingers. If Blackpool can pay 500k no one will tell me we can't.
thing is though you have to qustion just why Rangers are willing to let him good if he's as good as people on here reckon
well you 2 should put your money up and get on the board and put 250k between you then you could buy him
The fact that Davey unusually came out and said he thought Adam would be a brilliant addition seems to indicate it isn't Davey's choosing as why would he want to make himself look tight/incompetent? That said, it's always been repeated that "we have our valuation" and if it doesn't reach 500k in this tough market, I think that's a poor judgement
cant say i agree more about Nayatanga not being signed we got a good look at him.he was worth the punt, not sure if i would gamble on a midfield player who i have only seen once, the bottom line we must buy quality ,we know we will get that from gray hammil or andranik as we have seen them play more and stats dont lie.its not be all and end all if we dont get adams we said that when blades gazumpt us for the striker who aint pulled any trees up and got him self sent off in the final
RE: It is, so act like one. So calling someone a pillock brain because their opinion differs to yours is your idea of acting like an adult? If you're happy with the threadbare squad we've got you're free to say so but personal abuse is not acceptable and merely serves to show to a wider audience your general levels of intelligence.
That's just stupid talk. To say we haven't got 500k for Adam is equally daft. Money for Muller + Howard. Birmingham's parachute money. Season ticket sales "better than ever". Money from the TV deal. All that and we've not yet spent a single penny on transfers. Until now I was prepared to believe that maybe we were waiting for the right players to become available and at the right price. Adam joining Blackpool without us getting involved shows this not to be the case.
I've been as big a critic of SD as anyone, but if he'd identified Adam as a player he wanted who would have improved our side then 500k is not much to ask. By failing to give SD 500k for Adam, we have now given him an excuse if we end up struggling and his job is once more on the line. He should have been backed or sacked and it appears we've done neither.
SD has said a few times that we've not been back since our last bid was rejected. Either he's keeping a bid under wraps, or we haven't been back. If we have made another bid and Adam chose Blackpool over us then what does that say about us? If we can't see off the likes of Blackpool then it really is time to worry.
Maybe he likes it there.Hammells signing for us and according to the papers theres loads of so called bigger clubs after him.
