Does it ? Have to be my choice ? Houses like for like where I work are about 10-15% more expensive than tarn. Some 'choices' aren't choices at all.
on yer bike! absolutely. Ppl become so attached to their cars they pretend it's a NECESSITY. Which makes me wonder how do ppl without cars cope???????? "I need it for work" "there's no public transport where I live" blah blah blah. These aren't reasons, they're excuses.
RE: Driving is a privilige not a right! Do you like the Monkey? Think he's just caught his knob in a zip
I am of course presuming the Dirkster wouldn't lie on this BBS... and that it wasn't purchased from one of those companies who keep e-mailing me. Has anyone bought one of these fake degrees and got a really good job cos of it? I'd love to know...("Hi. I'm an optician with GCSE woodwork..")
We all have the same access to public transport as they do in London There's a tube station at the bottom of our street.
RE: I am of course presuming the Dirkster wouldn't lie on this BBS... Too close to the truth for me. And it was metalwork.
Ha! Londontown... where I can get a tube into the centre approx every 2 mins and ppl still moan about the quality of the service. But I used to live in the countryside, with our regulation bus every half hour to somewhere more interesting (Durham? Darlington??) Anyway, the last time I went anywhere far in a car was Scunny away, where we sat in a traffic jam on the M1 for 90 mins (and missed our goal). Truely a pleasure. Perhaps high petrol charges can rid us of many drivers (so only the likes of Dirk can afford to drive) whilst simultaneously helping the environment.
