    It has to be ballax because it would be a humiliating u-turn by Ben if we did sign him. Notwithstanding the humiliation there would also be a financial implication due to lost supporters who wouldn't go while he was at the club. I just can't see it happening, ever.

    As mentioned earlier in this thread, theres a difference between Danny wanting him, and the club allowing the transfer to go ahead. From what i understand Danny likes him. I was told in the summer by someone who is supposedly 'in the know' (which may or may not be true as i can't back it up with facts) that Danny had visited him in prison since his appointment as BFC manager on several occasions and he was interested in signing him when he was released. There was a lot of negative media attention (and rightly so) when he was released which may have changed Danny's mind, but only Danny and Ben know whether there have been any discussions on signing him.

    Personally, and i've said it before, i'd hate us to sign him at this time and i think Ched should focus all his attention to clearing his name before coming back to football. If he does clear his name, and the club then want to look at signing him, thats a different prospect all together. Not that they give a toss what i think...
