I agree with your post but you also have to remember that it is a very very small number who made the posts you mentioned
Good post too - although I can't agree with some of it, it is a completely pointless waste of time of a competition - normally. It might well be vital this season. And not for a nice trip to Wembley or a trophy to put in the cabinet. I'm hoping it might be the one consistent positive that catalyses an upturn in league results, breeding confidence and bringing more positive results - a couple of faces in January will help but the extension of the scouse one is essential. I have to believe we are too good to stay in the bottom four. With hammill surely we will be good enough to stay up. As for the jpt, might as well win it I suppose. If we get through, I won't go to Wembley though, I'm not a hypocrite.
promotions are one thing Kirk, but i agree with you that unless we can stamp our name on a cup/trophy (and be able to brag about it every single year afterwards) we havent actually won anything.
who is Tim ward ? also, what about the days of candles and black n white telly, and having to crank up your car with a lever. ohh yes, the early-mid 70s!!
ok, he and that era was way before my time. but did he win a 'Cup/Trophy' ? which is the point that somebody else was trying to make.
Nope. We were relegated under him and then promoted again the following year but won nothing else. I think anyway. Hemsy is that right?
Not a clue but there must have been a relegation because they won it three times. http://www.barnsleyfc.co.uk/news/article/club-honours-650632.aspx
As boring as they are, don't you see the irony in harping on about them in threads they have nothing to do with?
He's the poster that wanted to fight everyone because they didn't agree with his thoughts, plus his cousin John is an ex marine and someone dared to ask him if his first name was Jihadi. He got banned.
Named after our legendary striker of the mid-70's. I once saw him get offside so many times in an away match at Crewe that I became convinced that you should be able to be yellow then red-carded for it.
If you ever get the chance to ask Glavin who the worst player he ever played with was, John Peachy will be his answer.
You'll find that the vast majority will be able to look at the result yesterday in a positive light. Irrespective of the competition it was in, any sort of win against a top team like Wigan can only be a good thing in order to get us back on track. The concept of wanting us to lose games in order for a manager to get the sack baffles me at the best of times, but it baffles me even more when it's clearly obvious the manager isn't going to get the sack, and our form is seemingly on the upturn. That's just plain counter productive. I agree with your post in its entirety HT. I just feel that you're preaching to a vocal minority. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
