If I was England Manager this would be my preliminary 26 man squad with 3 to be chopped/removed with injury before the summer. based on a 4-2-3-1/4-3-3 formation dependent on opposition: GKs Pickford Ramsdale Pope (expected to be fit by April) LBs Shaw Chilwee RBs Walker Trippier CBs Stones Tomori Branthwaite Utility Defenders Joe Gomez CMs Rice Bellingham Ward-Prowse Alexander-Arnold Gallagher RW Saka Bowen LW Foden Grealish CAM Palmer Maddison Gordon Striker Kane Watkins Toney
Not wanting to p1 ss on anybody's strawberries, but we've been here before and the talent was wasted because of crappy tactics. Welcome to the world of G Southgate esq.
Or, and hear me out. We play Stones as a central CB, GK, LB and RB, 5 attacking midfielders and 2 strikers. Just go for the goals and the win. We might win (or lose) every games 6-5, but at least it'd be a fun tournament to watch.
Man United just never learn their lessons. Rashford and Casemiro both look uninterested/useless and their massive contracts are going to be a millstone around the club's neck for a few years. I said at the time they signed Casemiro it was a massive gamble on his personality and fitness, and it's looking like it's not going to pay off.
Foden better off the right in my opinion. Either way, Palmer, Foden and whoever else (prob Saka) need to be supporting Kane and we have a chance. Bellingham sitting deeper next to Declan Rice.
Saka for me is probably one of the most underrated/talked about English player. Never seems to have a bad game yet rarely in the headlines.
