I'd have thought the game has many selling points like a chance of an upset, visiting a ground you've never played at as new Chester, not played at as any Chester for over 30 years, sunday being a boring day so something to do etc. I hope you still bring 2k plus.
Same here mate! I have just postponed my kids footy match to be at this, wouldn't miss it for the world. How's the walk from the station if you have 12-14 kids with you, any issues or safe enough?
Good idea. Can't see many wanting to watch 2 Harrogate sides though. Although Beagrie and Windass should be playing.
Only on football focus, not a feature game. They go to match if any goals. Hardly going to make a fortune.
As others have said, you'll be absolutely fine. Same goes for all Chester fans travelling over. Anyone looking for trouble will easily be able to find it. The people of Barnsley won't wear aggressive behaviour. But those coming to watch the match and have a good day out won't see a hint of bother. We're a friendly lot too, if you can understand a word we say. Thallfindtharallwurdstendtorunintowun.
There were two dozen yoof under flyover after last game for first time v Burton but just blow them over mate and walk past
Our club are aware of a group of young idiots who hang around there, but I wouldn't expect a problem. Nice steady five minute walk out the station and to the left. One of the quickest grounds to get from the train station to the football ground in. Unless of course you're going to Crewe We've played Bradford at home on a sunday. We've had a saturday home game with Donny cancelled for their internationals. We've had Colchester moved to tomorrow night and now your game moved to a sunday. You'd think we were a Europa League team not a league one team with all our free saturdays so early in the season.
Depending what time you land - head up to the Metrodome Leisure centre - it's on the way to the ground (overlooks the away end) - sound for away fans, esp with kids if they want a drink & a snack, you can have a pint.
