He'd be suspended for being charged with rape, something he now needs to stand trial for again. I'd bet that everybody on here would be suspended from work while they were on trial for rape, particularly if the job they did was in the full glare of the public.

Even more so as they will have mascots and kid's summer football camps etc. there.

I hope more sponsors follow suit and he eventually ends up back in prison to serve a proper sentence for his crime.

He's been convicted of that charge once and been overturned with new evidence. There is obviously and always has been huge gaps in this case.

Even though he is, most probably, not guilty of the crime?

How have you come to that conclusion?

Think its been pretty obvious from the start there's been something not quite adding up with the conviction, which has of course since been overturned. Of course everyone on here has been on the moral high horse with him being a Sheff Utd player at the time.

I would be suspended if I was awaiting trial charged with rape for sure.

And come on Donny, you do see things incriminating there. Perhaps on there own not enough to convict (which is fine) but it IS incriminating evidence if a man lies to enter an hotel room, has sex with a woman in there in circumstances that his own friend find so morally wrong that he leaves and then exits via a fire exit so as not to be seen after the event. Now fair enough you wouldn't convuct based on that and that alone and neither would I, but it is incriminating evidence that BEGINS to paint a picture of the evening

Just have a quick read up of the facts from the night, taking away your bias of being a fan of a rival club. I cant remember specifics as its a long time ago I read up on it now but I seem to remember she said she was completely intoxicated but had only had a few drinks, claiming she had been spiked. No toxicology results backed this up although cocaine and weed were found. Evans didnt exactly sneak into the room, it was a room pre paid by him. Just have a read up.

Just had a quick re scan of it. Couple of very interesting points...

    1. The alleged victim apparently had made 2 rape claims before
    2. She didnt ever personally report it directly to the police or had any intention to do so

Think theres more than enough question marks raised there without even considering the private tweets between the 'victim' and her friends that were hacked into which read something along the lines of 'cant wait for this huge pay out'.

Personally, I hope if/when he's found innocent that there'll be some form of legal process to punish the girl.

You still flogging this dead horse?

He was supposed to be on his way to a police station to help out a mate but decided to abort to have a "go" on said girl.

He's a scumbag. However you try and twist this story to meet your own agenda, this isn't what happens on "most nights out", Magaluf, Tarn or otherwise.

Eh? What for? You said she didn't report it herself and now you want to prosecute her?

I think you should have to be pretty fvcking sure that the victim invented the rape claim before you even think about prosecuting.
