I think that he is having a dig at the fact that Ritchie was slated for going on holiday this time last year yet the same thing has been allowed to happen again. Either that means that certain people were wrong in their comments about ritchie and it was just a convenient excuse or they don't learn from past mistakes.

Everyone else is working their fingers to the bone, dealing with agents, meeting players, not everyone is on holiday, many players want to get contracts sorted before they go, you know. Can't believe Vacation Davey's lack of commitment. What will we end up with, a couple of League 1 players with 'get out of Barnsley for free' cards in their contracts again?

I'm saying during last season(not pre season or when they went on holiday) Davey was more commited to signing players to keep us up then Ritchie.

I would think August - early May would be that.

By your reckoning there is no decent time for him to go on holiday.

For all you know negotiations may be well under way and the players Davey has identified he want are having contract negotiations with the Chairman.
