Davey will have to be the one to judge what effect this news being released will have on the players. Like to think that they will be able to play on as normal until the case is sorted out. Possible that club can get to the bottom of it before the police do and so it'll be sorted out quicker. If they have done what is reported then sadly none should ever wear the shirt again.

 

Contempt of court in a nutshell...

Publication does not cause "substantial risk of serious prejudice".

Even though proceedings are active (arrest has been made).

 

If it's true...

...they should never play for the club again. I would hope they'd get time..

I think that is harsh. Let the police deal with them in the normal way, and let the club fine them whatever is allowed within their contract/football league rules. Not sticking up for them, but people make mistakes, why should they be punished more than the law dictates, and more than you or I would if it was us that had done it.

I'd lose my job if I was involved in something like that. Should they be found guilty, I wouldn't want to see them play for Barnsley again.</p>

if found guilty should be got rid of one way or another. I don't want racists playing for us so the maximium punishment should be installed. Just hope it's not true. Good for the Chronicle naming them unlike our so called first place for news official website.

Sorry. Lots of folk would be sacked for doing that if they have a public position. I certainly would have been.
Let's hope it doesn't come to that (maybe the taxi driver was a Sheffield Wednesday fan!).

 

Lets not forget that other ethnic groups are very quick to accuse people of racisim

Could be a case of a disagreement with the taxi driver and been blown out of proportion.

Lets just let the investigation run its course before we are to jump on the players for something thats been alleged.

all that's been said is what people feel should happen if it should be proved - fair comment imho.</p>

Well recently i went for some training at work and was told that any action that happened outside of work that brought the place i worked for that would bring bad publicity to the place of work, then yes you can be sacked because otherwise it looks like the workplace is condoning having known lawbreakers working for them which is disrespecting the customers.
