Now that is a depressing read. We don’t care about success on the pitch just flogging players.

Not the greatest statement to make.

No offers. More to do with Covid and other clubs finances?

"Schopp could not bring in his own assistants this season, working instead with coaches who have been left over from previous regime".

How to make friends and influence people.

Bet those "left over" coaches love this comment.

Tbf cut him some slack with his English. I'm sure he didn't mean to be derogatory.

"Barnsley had one of the five best seasons in their history - but there was not one offer for any player. If you look at developing and marketing the players, the value was zero.

    Not encouraging.

Do they think being rooted in the bottom 3 will generate bids........well maybe Collins.

Does the new CEO not have a good grasp of English?

Not being a dick as I've never heard him speak yet, I just assumed he would!

He is fluent, however he probably lacks the experience and knowledge of certain nuances to be more subtle and therefore comes across more bluntly than his employers. He means what he says tho.

I thought the same after reading that paragraph. If not for the current climate, that team, Styles, Helik, Andersen, would've surely attracted decent offers. Not to mention that that brand of football had us two wins away from the Premier League gravy train. We're more likely to be paying our own players up if we carry on under Schopp.

Special circumstance due to covid, just wait until he sees the bids we get at the end of the season when. We’re in league one.
Sounds like we’re going to sell any decent players in January while they’re still classed as championship players. Depressing

Think we need a new head coach, new CEO, and new set of owners.
Please please Sheff Utd give us a reyt good thrashing. Never ever did I think or wish for this outcome from a local derby.
Then and only then will we perhaps send MS packing.
But knowing our luck we'll nick a last grasp winner.
Completely disheartened and less caring of BFC and all this in less than 6 months.

Listen to the interview on radio Sheffield. Good English but obviously not perfect.

The more days go by, the more I think Schopp is the least of our problems.......

The Plan is no secret.. Its just that after 10 years of it, folk are starting to cop-on to what it actually is. You've been sold a pup and for quite a while now. All this .. go with yoof ********.. It always has been about running the club sustainably. Which for some reason some on here thought was quite admirable. It just means as cheap as possible. In the Crynes case, who started the plan, they may have put any profits made through sales of players back into the club. But these owners are taking The Plan and running with it as far as it will go.. The only way you'll get any change is to withdraw your support and cash. its not only the sale of players, but the ST sales that run the club day to day. You've already paid this season but remember this come next march.

I must be as thick as a post. I've been as angry as anyone over the West Stand, the £750k, and our awful run of form, but I'm not seeing anything there that raises my eyebrows.

We're a selling club. Always have been. It's how we make ends meet. So it's not the best news in the world that no-one wants to buy any of our players. We can't even shift enough of the dead wood and if we can't do that our wages budget is going to struggle to accommodate new signings.

The final 3 paragraphs seem to be to be about our style of play and whether we can play the high press for sustained periods of time with a squad that's not fit enough and hampered by injuries. Makes sense to try something else, and he even acknowledges that the style has "maybe" gone too far towards a possession based approach. Personally I think it's a bit more than "maybe", but I guess that publicly he has to stand by Schopp. For now, at least.

Anyway, I'll try the Radio Sheffield interview next. See if that one gets me going.

The change of style went well then for player valuations. Everyone must want them.

the plan is fine / was fine. This isn’t it. I’m happy for the club to be sustainability. After the relative success of last season the thing to do was to follow that blueprint not take a complete gamble that Schopp could turn us into a pound shop Real Madrid.
