I hope the rumours about Grealish going to Spurs are true because he might be the missing piece of the jigsaw. Maddison is a great player but can't carry the ball through the middle. Him Bentancur and Grealish would be quite a midfield trio. Bassouma and Sarr are o.k but that's all they are. They need cover for Van de Vende too because he's made of glass and another centre forward.
As a neutral I hope Liverpool drop points in those two as long as they don't lose to City. I like it to be wide open.
That midfield area is terrible at the minute. Rico Lewis is nowhere near good enough, Gundogan looks a very old 34 & Foden’s way off it on current form.
Obviously missing Rodri. But that’s embarrassing to admit, when they’ve the buying power and talent that they have. I think Barca have sent Gundogan’s useless twin brother back. Foden - despite the go faster stripe in his hair (grow up) - is the most cautious number 10 I’ve ever watched right now. A year ago he’s taking on shots from all angles, beating men… he’s gone right off his game. Kyle Walker looks half a yard slower. And I never even noticed Bernardo. Even KDB looked like Cam McGeehan when he came on. Spurs were superb, however. On their game, to a man. But that’s Tottenham all over. Next week they’ll play like tripe.
Do not see anything in Lewis. Baffled me that he’s made the England squad, never mind a City regular.
Same. A modern day Phil Neville. I get why a club like City want him as a squad player. Homegrown & versatile but no idea why he’s getting England call ups when we can have at least two specialists in every position.
Me and the kids went straight from Oakwell to the Hits Radio Live gig at the Co-Op which is right outside the Etihad. As we were walking in about 7 with 15 minutes in the match to go there were thousands streaming out of the football
Sarr has been phenomenal this season. Came out of nowhere for me, brilliant player. Bissoumas resurgence has been cracking too
Wow just seen tonight's results I actually thought they'd win tonight and v Liverpool, nuts result that one, confidence shot
So I don't know about you're experience bud but we sat in the car park for over an hour without moving after the game last night, they'd stupidly put some event on at the C Arena on the same night I'm starting to think park at Ashton and get the tram in on match days, any advice welcomed
