City visit Cork or Galway?

    Decided to go to Cork - for ease as we only have a couple of days and going to a concert. Just found out Cork Airport closed and no flights yet available for when we want to go! Doh!

    Will definitely visit Galway at some point, and hopefully a tour of SW Ireland, too.

    My partner Anne has been to Galway (her ex was Irish) very beautiful apparently. I knew a bloke from Waterford (near Cork) and he loved it. Basically you could do worse than toss a coin.

    Dads was from Cork city, been a couple of times, the city itself is just that, a city, outskirts and surrounding area are great. Ireland has got pretty expensive since the Punt changed to the euro. The city has also still got a ‘rebellious’ undertone! In some areas.
