    Harris said before the match...

"Barnsley played there this year but they didn't play against Millwall or in front of our fans there," he said.

"The noise at The Den in the second leg against Bradford was something special. That is what we will have at Wembley, with 35,000 passionate fans going to back their team.

"Every time we have had that, the players have performed. You have to have the link between the terraces and the pitch at this club."

    and also

Millwall manager Neil Harris has called on his side’s fans to create a “hostile atmosphere” at their Wembley play-off final on Sunday.

    After the game he said...

Millwall manager Neil Harris was only made aware of the trouble after the final whistle.
'I hope it wasn't serious and hope everyone gets home safely,' he said. But asked if he condemned the behaviour, Harris replied: 'Next question.'

i guess it says it all

That's what I thought but apparently that only extends to outside the stadium.

"Police course have a say in where sets of supporters should be seated but this only extends to which side of the stadium they should go. (And then goes on to explain why we were on that side due to the proximity of the coach carpark )
The issuing of tickets inside the stadium is the responsibility of the Football League in conjunction with both clubs and various meetings are held between the parties to discuss such matters. It is not for police to dictate the position of fans inside stadiums as it is their business not ours. This would be the same for all clubs across the country including Barnsley."

Common sense should have dictated which blocks fans should have been allocated to. It was mentioned long before the game kicked off.

Really hope BFC stands up so that this doesn't happen again. It most have been terrifying for the families up there. Utter stupidity to put fans so close together when there were thousands of empty seats, considering Millwalls reputation/ track record.

I've never thrown a punch in my life, but it's a good job some of our lads stood their ground. It stopped the Millwall thugs breaking through as quickly and over-running the entire area before families could get out.

What about the Barnsley and stood with arms out goading the Millwall fans? Both before they breached the line and after. The Barnsley fans hitting Millwall scum in the back of the heads?

Sorry but self defence is one thing and certainly some of the Barnsley fans were only doing that which is perfectly acceptable but let's not kid ourselves, a small number of Barnsley fans are just as bad as Millwall and a small number will hopefully receive banning orders.

Got to work today and was told by one known trouble maker 'i was right in it. I got hit but it was worth it'

Just to clarify though I'm talking about an extremely small amount of Barnsley fans in the grand scheme of things and Millwall were certainly the main culprits. Not trying to tar everyone with the same brush

You miss the point by a country mile my friend

I was praising the lads who stood their ground whilst the women and kids left the area.
There is no bigging up, can't do with the mindless violence.
Would YOU have run and left your kids?
That area contained no Reds numpties, it was a family area
I am not interested in thugs bragging rights, but whatever the Millwall scum post on their sites becomes a legend, and will only encourage more behaviour of this sort

Not really, there was a gap between our supporters and the stewards (who were keeping the Millwall 'fans' out), and had our fans who were goading the others moved away then it would probably have calmed down anyway.

That area certainly did contain red numpties. The video clearly shows Barnsley fans standing goading the Millwall fans. It's just a crying shame that Barnsley ****ers goading Millwall fans and Millwall was Ker's up for a fight put innocent people at risk

No the Reds were the ones willing to stand up and face the scum who marched halfway round the stadium to fight.
Reds did not do that, or is it all our fault?

    What he said.

Have the club commented yet. If not I think it's appropriate they do and praise the majority who walked away and did the club proud & condemn those who traded punches with the usual identify and ban.
Would also love to hear of the club investigating if it's league legal and valid for them to impose a three year ban on visiting Millwall fans in any form or competition in which our paths might cross.

"The scum barnsley fans" you mean the ones who stood their ground instead of running from the Millwall thugs who thought it was okay to throw coins and bottles into a crowd were children and family's were sat. No barnsley fans were trying to get into the millwall end just defending our own fans from there scum. I'd buy the lad in the grey jumper a pint for knocking out that fat Millwall coward.
I thought you would be the 1st to have a go a Barnsley fans. Police should have been there before millwall gathered about 100 more lads who had time to walk round from the total opposite side of Wembley to attack barnsley fans.

I don't blame you for not watching all the various clips, but when it first started there were only about half a dozen orange jacketed stewards. It took a while for the blue jacketed response team to get there and a ridiculous amount of time for any police to turn up.

The only fans that were giving the stewards a hard time were the Millwall scum.

How anyone can condemn someone for standing in the area their tickets say they should be is beyond me.

I bet as soon as that 3rd goal went in and the millwall numptys started you would have been straight out of Wembley faster than Usain bolt by sounds if you had been in that section. All I've seen do is slate barnsley fans who were defending family's from thugs and stick up for the met who took far too long to get to a area where trouble was likely to happen. Millwall have got a reputation for attacking family's they did it at Rotherham last year they are famous for it barnsley fans have a right to defend them selfs.

Stewards did a great job. Put themselves in harms way to keep them back, particularly the guy at the top.

It's true the guy in the grey was goading them, but that happens between sets of fans at loads of games. I don't think he did anything that vindicates their behaviour. I don't think he can be blamed for hitting that fat Millwall scum who punched him from behind and he was walking away either.

That won't have been the only incident either. The camera panned away when the Reds fans started running but there's pictures about of other bloodied fans which probably happened around that time. Just once incident of many.
