Straight from the Steve Evans book of after match interviews Evans was moaning about not getting a result in London and quoting Neil Warnock to add weight to his point
Pretty sure it has changed. Similar to when you take corners, only a tiny fraction of the ball now has to be over the line.
Yes, mate. Only a little bit of your football has to be on white line now. Not sure why they changed it but most of Cotters are fine
Just watched their managers post match reaction... hes delusional! I read the Rovers fans comments after it and they see it the same way we do. They aren't particularly happy with him at all, despite a decent start on paper, but a few of them saying they're in a false position. I will say they have a very decent squad for this level and on open should be finishing at least in and around 10th-12th
The Bristol fans who posted on the Bbc match comments section, were the same. From what I can remember, none of them questioned whether we deserved to win, and I think that's good to see when fans do that. I answered one of them though who said get rid of their manager, as I thought that sounded a bit harsh as they were on 7 pts like us.
Their Striker was a one man team and gave us some real trouble. happily he lacked support and started to look frustrated. I would have given him an 8 with the keeper at 7 and the rest 6 or below. For us MDG a 7 and 7 for the keeper, the rest above that with Dunn and Craig a 9..
So their keeper who pulled off a string of excellent saves and our keeper who gifted them a goal would both get a 7? Thread title is certainly correct.
He did but he also fluffed the thing he should be mainly judged on which is scoring goals. His header was powderpuff at best. Thankfully for us.
That's been a rule as long as I can remember. Even as a kid we were told the ball only had to be overhanging the line. Many in the corner of the Ponte end still don't know this rule though.
We had him at Carlisle last season, and on that occasion, I thought he was slightly biased in our favour, so I guess it was evening itself out.
