RE: Right up there with 'Tina Tyke' - remember when that out with the hand bag etc?. Looked like some sort of canine sex toy.
when will they ever learn? Frank skinner said they tried it at the Albion once in the cup (in the black and white days) - it sounded a bit like a George Formby song, the club went to great lengths and expense to get a song wrote, and what did the fans sing.... immediately they started singing - "if you think we're singing that you must be mad!" 50 years on, we're back to square one.
It was cringeworthy, total embarassment. Maybe the club thought they had to come up with something as the atmosphere in the ground is so poor, but then again they should realise that that's down to the **** we have to watch on the pitch! Give us something decent to watch and we'll sing and cheer along all afternoon.
I think the Forest fans enjoyed it It was absolutely dreadfull. Felt for the poor lass who had to sing it
I missed the point totally .... .. When i read about it midweek I naturally thought it was an April fool. Even when the Chronicle perpetuated the myth on Friday it still didn't sink in. If the club is in need of a song then have a proper competition and let the Ponty decide the winner. To be fair to the young Wildcat singer she was still miles better than anything "Twin" have come up with.
Maybe someone should deliver this to Patrick Cryne.
It's unlikely Rob Knowles will be runningdown the corridor with this one in his sweaty palm.
