    That goes without saying though bud. Ideally it should. But there's literally no reason not to if we're paying him anyway - keep him involved & and get the new lad integrated as best we can

    The club hasn't managed the tranistion of CEO's particularly well in the past and this concerns me. Part of this recently was down to cuddly Paul but we didn't do it particularly well before when Patrick was in charge. I hope the club have a succession plan - if required - to counter this.

    Personally, I'd like him to stay as I feel - like the other CEO's - he has grown into the position. There's still a lot of work to do and he's not perfect but I feel the direction of travel is positive and I think there would be less disruption if he stayed.

    The other thing to note is this could have been released as a negiotiating ploy to force the clubs hand either for a new deal or for better conditions though this viewpoint could be considered a little cynical.

    Finally, there's an argument that the role is too big for one person and should be split between the Commerical and Sporting and it'll be interesting to see if the club are thinking the same.
