Co-owner allegedly told staff female club secretary ‘wore inappropriate clothes’

Because it's much less likely for a male employee to be told his clothing is inappropriate then employment tribunals regularly judge that the kind of behaviour alleged is indeed sexual discrimination and/or sexual harassment. That's not my opinion, it's the findings of many employment tribunals.

 

Not defending or accusing, but is it sexism if one woman criticizes another woman?

We are not talking about any other case than this. And if it's about etiquette in the workplace especially in office environments, it will be in mosts contracts when dealing with the public.
You are talking about behaviour above and beyond. Not just a "please wear appropriate clothing whilst in the workplace."

Let's be honest non of us has a clue as to the rights and wrongs of the situation, we take sides that suits our narrative. It does seem Norwood has got an axe to grind and taken the chance on what is tenuous link to put the boot in. The Cotter one is a bit odd nothing wrong with supporting an former colleague but to take to X to do this is not the most sensible decision in my book. The list of mistakes since the new board took control is starting to add up all of them were avoidable ,some professionalism is needed.

Yes just because it’s a woman making derogatory comments based on gender it can still be sexism. I’d say historically football was institutionally sexist and though it’s trying to change it still lags behind society.
