When I read it initially I didn't take it to mean he had lent something to the club, but to a former teammate. So could be a pair of expensive headphones for instance.

I think a lot of people are looking at a different ‘bombshell’ in this piece to me. We don’t know what this lass was wearing or what Jean thought she was doing, so we can’t really reach any conclusion from it, even if it says that Jean apologised. I was once called into the MD’s office when I worked in the City, to be told I had to inform a lass I managed that the leather trousers and low cut top she was wearing were not appropriate. I explained I’d already had the conversation with her and the reason was that her plane in from Germany that morning was delayed, so she had a choice of coming in dressed like that or being a couple of hours late for work. The MD apologised to me for bringing it up. No biggie. Although I did notice quite a few people walking the long way round to get to their desks that day!

The thing in the article that jumped out at me was the Aidy Marsh thing. Does nobody read their emails? Or did they not understand what they were being told? Or did the email not actually get sent?

A multimeter to check the electrics of the coach but it went up in flames before they got round to it.

And the Dallas thing. Why are we being investigated? Why has it been kept quiet?

Tbh, it seems a bit mountain out of a molehill based on the article. As others have pointed out a younger person's maybe more informal clothing and manner towards her male colleagues seems to have been misinterpreted as flirtiness. Having said that, I dont kniw a single workplace that didn't have office romances and extra marital affairs! Never a dull day at BFC!

All joking apart the fact that the co owner of a multi million pound business is spreading salacious gossip about an employee even after having to apologise for doing it in the first place is disgusting and says alot about the culture at Oakwell. There seems to be a bit of it's my club I'll do and say what I want involved in this sorry tale.

I say this with no knowledge of any individual but I disagree, the whole article and details in it reads to me as having been leaked by a disgruntled party. The fact it mentions Khaled finishing early says to me it’s not him.
My money would be on an ex employee.

The sorriest part about all this is that people are creating posts like yours, based upon allegations made in an article that contains just allegations and not proven facts.

If what we've seen from BC is him focussing on his footy I'd hate to see him perform when distracted.
Let players who've left air the dirty laundry Baz. You focus on your stepovers lad

Lot of truth in that RH. There wont be many organisations without skeletons in the cupboard. Unfortunately, as the moral compass shifts we don't all move with it.

Tbf there was a youth team coach who was an actual nonce when JD was in charge back in the mid80s.

What frustrates me is that the club knew about the article because they'd been approached for comment yet they've allowed it to be written and painted the club in a very bad light without putting out any kind of proactive statement. They will now be forced to put out a reactive one trying to change public opinion again instead of being on the front foot and issuing one first.

I get that completely. I’m not talking tie-less or wearing smart jeans rather than trousers.

More than that - items which you might go out in at night, but not in the day etc.

The recipe for 'Uncle Jimmy's Patented Friday Night Hangover Cure'?

On the rest I don't particularly want to comment on the nitty gritty and just hope that the Athletic hack isn't causing any further upset to the individual concerned by stirring the pot.

Other than that, the fact that the club is behind the curve in terms of operating within modern/widely-adopted governance processes, policies and procedures is not a new revelation (except maybe to those that have blindly defended it when deficiencies have been evident in the past).

Hopefully, the new appointments will start to move things forward positively.
