Agree with all that. There are a lot worse places to be. I had around seven years in Buckinghamshire. Still miss it
We considered that, with the discount was making it a very reasonable £23/24 pounds but couldn't find a return after 18.00. I'm sure there was one about 19 30 when I'd searched earlier but had gone when we tried for it and the 18.00 was risky given possible extra time and pens.
I managed to find a generous dad who really wanted to go (my own for anyone who somehow didn't get that!)
Last time it said that it would set off an hour after the match ended and gave different times for the different scenarios. It parked so close to the entrance that you would be fine no matter what anyway.
Penistone Reds set off at 6:30 for JPT game, get everyone to Wembley then they can do there own thing when they get there. Didn't get any complaints on coach so we said we'd set off same time again. We're only half an hour earlier than other supporters groups.
Take a few snacks and drinks in a carrier bag and sit in fan zone an hour or two ,plenty going on there I think.
I think that's because there isn't an OAP discount unless you use a 'Senior Coachcard'. I just ran though the prices and it was the same cost for 4 adults no matter what the age. It does seem a little misleading to ask you to list adults and OAPs separately for no automatic price difference. The card costs £10 for the year and gets you a 1/3 off all travel (therefore you may as well buy one and use it this time and you'll get your money back straight away as the tickets cost £30 each if you are not doing the group discount. It also says that if you don't make a saving of £10 over the year then they'll give you the money back so win-win really if you can be bothered). Here's more info: http://www.nationalexpress.com/offers/coachcards/senior-coachcard.aspx Edit: oh, you need to add £2 postage and packaging on top of the £10 cost. Double edit: despite it not having any off peak times it does say that it can't be used on 'Special Event' services which I imagine this probably is.
Thanks JD I thought it strange that they asked for passengers ages, then discount cards. I concluded that there may be an additional discount for the card. But hey ho no prob's its still cheaper than the club and Vee Gee.
World Superbike being held on this weekend at Donnington Park usually get heavy traffic around junction 24 M1
They leave 1 hour after final whistle "Coaches will leave 1 hour after the final whistle - even if the match goes to extra time or penalties" . So what do they class as the final whistle?
The point where one team has won the match, be that the ref's whistle for the 90 minutes being up with someone in front, likewise after 120 minutes, or the winning penalty going in/being saved.
This. Last time they listed different departure times taking all the possible scenarios into account. I think it was in an email I received awhile after I'd booked the tickets.
We've booked with National Express as well. Whereabouts in the Interchange do they go from these days? I haven't been in there since it was rebuilt.
I've only been in once or twice. If you enter from where Parkway Cinema is, go straight forward to bus stands and then turn left and they were going from those stands. There were around 20/30 coaches all parked up and hundreds of people wearing Barnsley shirts and flat caps, you can't miss it!
There may be less there this time as I think they are doing more departure times. I'm setting off at 9am but I know they are doing at least two earlier than that.
