    Maybe would move to High Green/Chap. Knackered me, work miles away but like easy access to town for nefarious activities. It's a conundrum and no mistake.

    I spent 18 months commuting 120/150 miles a day to Manchester from the Sheffield/Barnsley side. Damn nearly killed me and turned me into a road rage monster. 2 1/2 hour commutes (each way) were very common. Only benfit was I now know the Woodhead, Holmfirth and Snake Pass routes like the back of my hand.

    Why don't you invest in a pied a terre in Derby?

    Nice investment, you could do a bit of "staying over" and dip a toe in both gene pools.
