    The median age in India is 27. The median age in the UK is 40. For a virus that has the worst effects in the older population, a country with a much younger population would not be impacted as hard.

    That doesn't meant that India's total is 100% accurate (same could be said here too), neither does it mean that upwards of 156000 deaths is "good". But comparatively they've not done too badly for any country - especially one of that size.
