I do normally know these sad things which is why I'm annoyed that I don't. I'm going with McCormack in 1950/51 when he scored 33 in 37.
9 goals in 19 games this season. In a bottom of the table side. And there were plenty on here the other week saying get shut. Barmpots.
Well, you've pointed out I was wrong about Glavin so I'm bowing out of this (my ego's taken too much of a battering for my liking!).

Sorry definitely not my intention it was a genuine question. I can't believe it's over 50 years since someone scored 20 league goals at championship level. It's madness isn't it considering some of the players we've had.
To say he's been injured and spent the rest of the season stuck out on the left wing, he's done quite well. Now he's being allowed to actually take up a striker's position and some decent service from Lawrence, Shea and this new kid Jenkins - he may well get into double figures.
It is really, mate I'm convinced both David Geddis & Ashley Ward would've achieved it had we not sold them before Christmas in 1984 & 1998, respectively.
Re: It is really, mate yes both would have done it I agree. Didn't Ward have 14 in 15 starts or something.
Assuming he isn't sold, or picks up an injury, I think he'll score more in a league season than anyone else has managed since we won promotion in 2006. Taking into account that'd be Bogdanovich on 11 in 2009/10 and Chris is already on 9, I don't think you'd get long odds on it!
Re: It is really, mate No 19. 17 league and 2 cup. I know it's before the Hunter promotion just not sure who.
Re: It is really, mate Vaz Te would have come close, too. And he was a sub for much of his 4 months here.
Didn't Vaz Te score 12 goals then? Have I imagined that? Hang on though, two were against Swansea in the cup I suppose, but I'm sure he scored 12 in total, and then 12 for Fat Sam.
Yes he's odds in to be our highest scoring forward since we came back up though I think it's Howard who has scored more in the league than anyone else. 13 in 2007/8.
